For the past 7 years I have been sharing information and learning through a friend I made here on the internet. This has enabled the long distance partnership with Lyns Almostafarm in Missouri. Two heads are definitely better than one when it comes to working towards the best quality silkies and showgirls possible. Texas and Missouri are not so far apart with the help of the internet and the shared trips Lyn and I make between our two flocks.  All colors are our goal but currently Lyn is focusing more on white, blue, splash and black. I have the mission impossible of consistently hatching clear buff silkies and showgirls. White, Black, Blue, Splash and Lavender are also part of my breeding pens.

Hatching started in late March this year with lots of new things happening. I have added a new Hatchin' Hut. I expanded my color variety with splash, blue and black roosters. It took me until mid June to find my hens for the breeding groups. I plan for some splash, black and blue chicks before the season is over.
